5 reasons to hang around Northrop this summer

1.) Free. Local. Music.  Seriously, though, which of these three words are you NOT ecstatic about? That's right, none. How can you complain about free access to amazing local bands doing their thang?

2.) Free food: what college student doesn't start drooling and their classic conditioning click something in their brains when they get a waft of free Jimmy John's, Qdoba, or ice cream from UDS?

3.) IPod Touch Giveaway: yep, that's right. The University Bookstore loves y'all so much that they donated an ipod touch to giveaway at our kick-off party June 14. For those of you without a lucky streak, we've also got a lot of other prizes to give away that day, like gift cards to local food joints, movie passes, and more.

4.) Join a cause: college students are always itchin' for a cause to get behind, right? Well, Northrop's got one for you. Summer at Northrop is in danger of losing funding from the Summer Session student fees that support it, unless students take a stand. Show your support for these free summer concerts by signing the petition at the concerts, joining our Facebook group, and by telling everyone how vital these concerts are to you.

5.) New Evening Shows: We've added 5 new evening concerts this year from 7 - 8 pm on the Plaza. Don't miss out on our stellar evening acts, including The Alarmists, Maria Isa, Innocent, Charanga Tropical, and Alison Scott.

Bring your friends, pop a squat with some free food, and get ready to enjoy summer!
