An epiphany of a summer is almost over with the Northrop Summer Music Festival coming to an end, but what a blast it has been to fill the Northrop Plaza with sounds from some of the hottest local artists and student bands. Whether it was dancing the night away with Charanga Tropical, grooving to the beats of Toki Wright, or just enjoying lunch to the tunes of our other talented artists, the music festival proved to be a highlight of this summer.

We also cannot forget to give a shout-out to those who braved the tumultuous storm from June’s Chastity Brown concert. Nothing will rain on our parade and deter us from giving you the best live music experience. Free music, extensive fun, and most importantly, our stellar audiences are the heart of the Northrop Summer Music Festival, so thanks to everyone for joining us on our musical journey!

Who was your favorite artist or band that played on the Northrop Plaza this summer? Did you win any of our awesome prizes from area businesses? If you couldn’t make it to the outdoor concerts, here’s a glimpse of the exciting festivities that went on. Don’t worry if you missed out because we have more free concerts coming this fall! Stay tuned for the announcement of our exciting line-up.

Here’s to the last bit of a great summer and to the fantastic year we have ahead of us! With fall concerts, the Northrop dance season, and the grand re-opening of Northrop in April, the fun is far from over.
