René and Frankie are two friends who make the best of going to high school by dreaming up high fashion but low-budget photo shoots, with René embracing his love for designing clothes and Frankie refining her skills in photography. When they invite Sasha, a shy soccer player with a soft spot for poems by Pushkin, to join their theatrics, they find themselves in a love triangle with the pressures of prom looming. Local filmmakers Matt Stenerson and Jeremy Wilker use Minneapolis as their backdrop for this charming tale of first love and proms that don’t have to be a disaster.
