The University of Minnesota occupies a unique location: on one of the great rivers of the world, and a land grant university in a large metropolitan area. How that sense of place becomes “strategic,” when the University uses it to further its overall mission and goals, as a world-class comprehensive teaching, research, and engagement university, is the subject of a facilitated discussion.
