Students, welcome to your first year at the University of Minnesota! We hope that you’ll visit Northrop often during your time at the U to experience new and exciting events. To help make that happen, we invite you to attend a performance in our 2019-20 Dance Season with one free ticket! Northrop brings the world’s best professional dance companies right to the U of M campus so that attending the arts is accessible for you! We hope you will join us to see all Northrop has to offer during your time here.

How to reserve your free ticket:

Visit the Northrop Box Office Mon - Fri, 10:00 am - 5:00 pm and get your First-Year Free Ticket.

Terms and Conditions:

This program is open to all students in their first year at the University of Minnesota, Twin Cities. This includes all freshmen, first-year graduate & professional School, and first-year transfer students. You will need to show a valid U Card to pick up your ticket, and your name and ID will be verified. This offer is valid for one ticket, but you and your friends can come together to the box office and request adjacent seating. We’ll offer you the best available seat for the performance you choose. This offer is subject to availability. To avoid disappointment, reserve your ticket early! Join us before and after performances too in the Northrop Student Lounge for free snacks!

How can I reserve my seat next to a U of M student who is not a first-year?
U of M students who are not freshmen can get discounted $10 Rush Tickets to the performance the day of the show. If a first-year U of M student would like to be seated next to a returning student, they will need to wait to reserve their free ticket until the day of the show, and order in person with that friend at the Northrop Box Office.

How can I reserve my seat next to someone purchasing a full priced ticket?
When you reserve your free ticket, you may also purchase a full priced ticket(s) next to yours.
