The University Collaborative Ambassadors for Northrop (U-CAN) is comprised of students from all disciplines who have a passion for performing arts, academics, cultural events, and student life. U-CAN members serve as ambassadors for Northrop by raising awareness of Northrop as a student destination, a performance venue, and a space for learning, creativity, innovation, and collaboration.

U-CAN connects Northrop with the U of M campus by collaborating with campus departments and student organizations to plan and produce a variety of events, activities, and opportunities each year. Utilizing Northrop’s theaters, study lounges, Surdyk's café, art gallery, and more, U-CAN members host comedians, poets, dancers, painters, musicians, scholars, and more!

Meant to excite, collaborate, and create, U-CAN members have the freedom to decide their own programing and reach out to other groups, departments, and beyond during the year to accomplish their goals.  In addition, annually, U-CAN participates in Push 4 Art!, Pop-Up Northrop, Dudes on Dance, The Primal Scream, and Student Sound!

Members also receive special discounts and behind the scenes experiences with all aspects of Northrop!

To keep up with U-CAN, follow us on Facebook! If you have any questions, you can reach us at Interested in becoming a member? Fill out our online membership application! Meetings are 4-5 pm Tuesdays in the Green Room inside Northrop.
