Development Associate

The Development Associate supports the Director of Development to help shape and execute fundraising efforts for Northrop’s programming. Key responsibilities include leading donor cultivation and stewardship strategies, managing a donor portfolio, coordinating fundraising campaigns and events (including an annual fundraiser and silent auctions), and engaging volunteers. The role collaborates across departments—especially with Marketing and Communications—to produce donor communications. Administrative duties include database management, supporting the Advisory Board, supervising a student intern, and overseeing departmental operations related to fundraising.

This position reports to the Director of Development and is a full time (40 hours per week) hybrid (remote and on-site) position, primarily working weekdays with occasional weekend and/or evening hours as needed, based on the schedule of Northrop’s events. Pay range is $49,000–$57,000 annually, based on experience. Applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis until the position is filled.

Northrop Artistic Programs Intern

The Northrop Artistic Programs Intern will assist the Artist Services Manager, Education Coordinator, and the Artistic & Community Programs Department with Northrop Presents event administration, planning, and execution. Job duties include working Northrop Presents events and Student Matinees, assisting with K–12 programs and administrative tasks as assigned, creating and updating overview spreadsheets and artist itineraries for Northrop Presents events, entering events and engagements into Northrop's archival database, assisting with artist hospitality and transportation, participating in departmental research and evaluation work, and other duties as assigned and deemed necessary in contributing to the mission of Northrop and activities of the department.

This is a temporary, part-time U of M student position, approximately 10 hours per week with up to 15 hours as needed for occasional event weeks, paying $15.25/hour. This position requires a currently enrolled UMN student with a minimum of at least 2 semesters completed as a full-time student and availability to work occasional evening and weekend events. Must have a valid driver's license. The preferred start date is September 8, 2025.
