This is a temporary passenger loading area for drop-off and pick-up with direct, no-elevation entrance into Northrop. It is located on the east side of Northrop. Take a right turn from Church Street at Lily Plaza immediately before the Church Street Garage entrance. View the accessible entrance on Google Maps.
These entrances provide physical access into Northrop from public sidewalks with no-elevation entrances or by ramp or elevator. Find these on the east, south, and west sides of the building. If entering from the south (plaza) side, there is an ADA-compliant elevator located in the southeast corner. Accessible backstage entrances are also available.
These parking stalls are marked with signage indicating additional space on both sides of the vehicle. The University provides designated accessible parking across campus, including in the parking structures nearest Northrop: Church Street Garage and Fourth Street Ramp.
During events at Northrop, an interpreter will stand on or near the stage to translate the experience.

These devices amplify and clarify sound by cutting down or eliminating ambient noise. Request in advance by emailing nrpaccess@umn.edu. You may also request from Coat Check attendants on the day of the event. If Coat Check on the Ground Floor level, east and west sides is not staffed for an event, any usher will be able to assist with this request. Please note the ALDs are not compatible with hearing aids.

These floor-level sinks provide a place to wash feet in privacy and are available for use by anyone.
The nearest foot washing station is a three-minute walk from Northrop in Room 208 Coffman Memorial Union.
These private, single-stall restrooms are available for use by anyone and also contain a changing table.

A private, first come first serve space for mothers to nurse or use a breast pump located on the fourth floor of Northrop in Room 424.

In partnership with the Autism Society of Minnesota, Northrop is offering a Sensory Friendly Lounge equipped with sensory supports and staffed by trained volunteers during select performances. The lounge will allow guests who are experiencing hyper (too-much) or hypo (not-enough) sensitivities to watch the performance from a monitor, or take a break from the performance all together. Performances with a Sensory Friendly Lounge will include this icon on their event pages.
