One hundred years ago, Le Sacre du Printemps, or The Rite of Spring, made its world première at the Théâtre des Champs-Élysées in Paris. The costumes, choreography, and storyline created scandal and a fierce reaction from the audience.

On Feb 26, Northrop Lectures and Concerts presents Joffrey Ballet's interpretation of Stravinsky's work that changed dance forever. Mark Russell Smith will conduct the University of Minnesota Orchestra for this one-of-a-kind event.
