Support art. Change lives.

Captivate. Engage. Inspire.

You are a vital part of the Northrop family, supporting our vision to ignite transformation through every world-class artist, inspiring speaker, and leading changemaker who steps onto our historic stage. Together we aspire to present cultural experiences that captivate hearts, engage minds, and foster connections with one another. Through community partnerships and artist engagement, we continue to make a lasting impact by supporting meaningful events, conversations, and performances.

During this season:

  • Step Afrika! brought to light inspirational stories of the 1739 Stono Rebellion and the Drumfolk. Through compelling music and movement, more than 4,000 students across MN and 1,300 audience members celebrated the human spirit while learning pieces of our history too often left in the margins.
  • 10,000 Dreams: A Celebration of Asian Choreography, Apr 12-13, 2024, will feature three world-class ballet companies performing five stunning pieces that recognize and elevate Asian creatives working in ballet.
  • The annual Spotlight Series continues to bring important conversations around timely topics of interest. This year’s series is connecting communities through thoughtful discussions focused on racial and social justice.

You make this possible—and we value each and every way you contribute. As we approach the end of 2023, please partner with us through your tax-deductible gift.

Thank you for investing in your Northrop experience—sharing moments of inspiration, discovery, and joy!

Make a Difference by Giving to Northrop

For nearly 100 years, Northrop has been one of Minnesota’s premier performing arts, education, and entertainment centers. Northrop plays a critical role in the intellectual and cultural life of the Twin Cities and beyond by presenting legendary artists, speakers, and changemakers. Home to the signature Dance and Music Series, we are the region’s renowned presenter of national and international ballet and contemporary dance companies, and legendary classical and jazz music artists. Impact of arts in education

Image
Research shows that children who study the arts

demonstrate stronger overall academic performance, helping to produce creative thinkers that employers need in an increasingly complex workforce.

Image
K-12 students involved with the arts

show higher levels of success in math and reading skills, and additional skills are strengthened in communication and problem-solving abilities.

Image
Exposure to the arts help K-12 students

improve ACT/SAT test scores, perform higher on standardized tests, and achieve higher GPAs. These students are less likely to drop out of school and 3 times more likely to receive a bachelor's degree in higher education.

Image
Both state and federal laws require K-12 schools to provide arts education

for students to foster a more well-rounded education.
