INSPIRED: A Conversation with Misty Copeland

Northrop will welcome Misty Copeland for a special event. Misty is an artist, author and ambassador renowned for being the first African-American woman promoted to ballet's highest level of principal dancer at American Ballet Theatre. Copeland's passion is giving back to underprivileged communities. She has worked with many charitable organizations and is dedicated to giving her time to work with and mentor young girls and boys. The program will feature Misty’s personal story of overcoming hardships as a young girl, her meteoric rise in the world of ballet and beyond, and her commitment to empowering youth worldwide. The master of ceremonies for the event is Robyne Robinson, and actress and Minnesota native Lea Thompson is a special guest. Proceeds from this event help support Northrop’s youth programming, which transforms lives through arts enrichment and education.

If you are unable to attend, please consider supporting our youth programs through a special gift to Northrop. A portion of each ticket sale is a tax-deductible non-refundable donation. Thank you!

A limited number of VIP packages are available for $250 and include a pre-show reception and a photo opportunity with Misty Copeland.

We extend a special thank you to our "INSPIRED: A Conversation with Misty Copeland" event sponsors HGA, PNC Bank and RBC Wealth Management.
