Northrop's Historic Pipe Organ: A Resounding Success

A new exhibit titled Northrop's Historic Pipe Organ: A Resounding Success in Northrop's 4th-floor Gallery explores the history, design and significance of the Aeolian-Skinner Opus 892 organ. The organ was built between 1932 and 1936 and was recently restored and re-installed after years in storage during Northrop's renovation. A celebratory concert featuring the Minnesota Orchestra, Music Director Osmo Vanska and organist Paul Jacobs is scheduled Fri-Sat, Oct. 12-13.
