Matinee Reservation, Ticket, and Payment Policies

Important Information about Northrop Student Matinees Ticketing Policies.

New for the 2023-24 Season! Purchase up to 20 student matinee ticket online with a credit card or by calling the Northrop Box Office at 612-624-2345. Orders of 1-20 tickets must be purchased in advance online by phone. For orders of 21 or more tickets, reservations may also be placed using the website form and an invoice will be issued for your order.

Policies

For Livestream/On-demand (Online) Events

  • By submitting this form you are not guaranteed a reservation.
  • Invoice reservations will be considered final three weeks prior to the matinee date. 
  • Northrop will send the invoice three weeks prior to the event date. If you do not receive an invoice three weeks prior to the event, please contact matinees@umn.edu.
  • Schools that don’t respond to confirmation requests will be responsible for their original reservation numbers, and no reductions or cancellations will be possible after the deadline (or after the event date) except in case of school closures.
  • For livestream reservations, an email will be sent to you on the day of the event with instructions and an access code.
  • For on-demand reservations, an email will be sent to you on the day of the in-person/livestream event with instructions and an access code. If you purchase the on-demand event after the in-person/livestream date, an email will be sent to you within two business days of your order.
  • Student Matinee tickets are non-refundable. In case of school closures due to weather, etc., tickets may be exchanged for a future Student Matinee.
  • If for any reason you need to make payment sooner, please contact the Box Office at 612-624-2345 at least three weeks prior to the matinee and they will expedite your order.

For Carlson Family Stage (In-person) Events

  • Reservations will only be accepted for orders of 11 or more tickets.
  • By submitting the form you are not guaranteed a reservation.
  • Once you submit your reservation, Northrop will check for the availability of tickets to the event(s) you wish to reserve. If space is available, your order will be processed and Northrop will send the invoice three weeks prior to the event date.
  • If you do not receive an invoice within three weeks of the event date, please contact matinees@umn.edu.
  • Invoice reservations will be considered final three weeks prior to the matinee date.

For Carlson Family Stage (In-person) Events

  • Payment and final numbers are due 30 days prior to the event date via check or credit card.
  • Reservations that are unpaid 30 days prior to the event may be released at Northrop’s discretion to accommodate others.
  • All checks for the event must arrive 30 days before the matinee. If your check will not arrive by the deadline, a credit card payment is required.

For Livestream/On-demand (Online) Events

  • Payment is due 48 hours prior to the event date via check or credit card.
  • Refunds can be made up to 48 hours before the event. Once the access code is sent to you, you will be unable to receive a refund.

For Carlson Family Stage (In-person) Events

  • Student Matinee tickets are non-refundable. In case of school closures due to weather, etc., tickets may be exchanged for a future Student Matinee.
  • Your school group will be assigned seats by Northrop staff.
  • Individual tickets are not printed. Your invoice will serve as proof of purchase. Please print your invoice and have it available on the day of the event.

For Livestream/On-demand (Online) Events

  • Student Matinee tickets are non-refundable. In case of school closures due to weather, etc., tickets may be exchanged for a future Student Matinee.
  • Access codes can be shared with students who are learning from home and with teachers who have reserved tickets for their classrooms. Please do not share codes with teachers or individuals who have not made reservations.
