Join Raffaele Morra, ballet master of Les Ballets Trockadero de Monte Carlo (aka The Trocks), for a community dance class presented in partnership between Northrop and Ballet Co.Laboratory. Participants will enjoy a short warmup, learn the famous “Dying Swan” with a comedic touch, and then create their own interpretation of the terminal fowl.

Dancers and non-dancers of all ages are encouraged to attend!

This class is free. Registration is required, and capacity is limited to 35 students. Participants will receive a 50% off discount code to attend the Thu, Jan 29, 7:30 pm Les Ballets Trockadero de Monte Carlo performance at Northrop.

 

About the Teacher

Raffaele Morra is a teacher, former dancer, and ballet master of Les Ballets Trockadero de Monte Carlo. He began studying classical ballet in his hometown of Fossano, Italy in 1986 and became a member of the Compagnia di Danza del Teatro Nuovo in Torino in 1994. Morra joined The Trocks in 2001. With the company, he has danced a variety of leading male and female roles and has choreographed works including Majisimas, a parody of the ballet Majisimo by Cuban choreographer Jorge Garcia. As The Trocks’s ballet master since 2015, Morra has led numerous master classes and workshops.
