The Ethiopian Student Association at the University of Minnesota is proud to present its 28th annual cultural show, Late Night With ESA. This special event invites community members to celebrate and explore the rich cultural heritage of Ethiopia’s diverse regions.

Guests will enjoy an engaging evening filled with performances that include acting, traditional and contemporary dance, and a vibrant fashion showcase. Each segment will highlight unique and fascinating aspects of Ethiopia’s many cultures. Please join the ESA in supporting this exciting tradition and experiencing the beauty and diversity of Ethiopian culture!

Free for UMN students with UCard; registration required.

 

*ALERT: All attendees must be 18+ and will be required to show a valid government-issued ID to enter the building. No bags larger than a small purse will be allowed. 

Know Before You Go

Event Information

  • Building Doors Open at East Ground Level for Security Screening: 5:30 pm
  • Bistro & Concessions: Closed
  • Theater Doors Open: 5:30 pm
  • Event Begins: 6:30 pm
  • Duration: Approximately 135 minutes including one 15-minute intermission
  • Advisory: ALL ATTENDEES MUST BE 18+
  • Seating: General Admission

Ticket Policies

  • All attendees must have a ticket to attend the event.
  • Ticket purchases in person at the Box Office are cash or credit card only; mobile devices can not be used to purchase tickets.
  • *UMN student tickets are free. Present UCard at the Box Office to get a student ticket.
  • Tickets purchased online: Check the email you provided when you placed your order to locate your digital ticket. Be sure to check your spam or junk mail folders if you do not see them.
  • Detailed Event Information: Find Your Event Info link on your order confirmation or check your email within 24 hours for detailed information from Northrop, U of M

Event Policies

  • All attendees must be 18+ and must have a physical driver's license or ID and present that ID to security at the building entrance. (A UCard will not work as an ID.)
  • All attendees will pass through a security check that will include metal detectors.
  • No bags larger than a small purse will be allowed. There is no bag check.
  • Read all Northrop policies.

Traffic Alert

There will be increased traffic on campus and in the Fourth Street Ramp due to the Wayzata High School Graduation at 6:30 pm.

Road Construction Alert

  • University Avenue will also be reduced to one lane of traffic between 13th Avenue and Oak Street SE, with closures on Pleasant Street SE and Church Street SE.
    • The southbound lane from University Avenue will be closed on Pleasant Street.
  • Church Street will be closed in both directions just south of University Avenue SE. Traffic will not be allowed through.
    • Both Church Street and Nolte Garages remain open, but contract holders and patrons must detour around the Church Street closure.
  • I-94 will be reduced to two lanes in each direction around the East and West Banks of the University.
  • The entrance ramps to I-94 from Huron Boulevard on East Bank will be closed, with increased traffic along East River Parkway.
  • University Avenue will be reduced to one lane of traffic between 10th Avenue SE and 14th Avenue SE.

Plan to arrive on campus 30 minutes early to make sure you have plenty of time to navigate traffic around UMN parking facilities and get to the event on time.
