Organ Repertoire Class with Isabelle Demers

Recitalist and renowned teacher Isabelle Demers will work with current organ students, listen to each student’s prepared repertoire, and provide active feedback about their technique and artistry. The class will be open to the public for observation, giving audiences a behind-the-scenes glimpse at the process of learning and rehearsing organ repertoire, as well as the mechanics of Northrop’s Aeolian Skinner organ. The class will also include a short demonstration and audience Q&A with Isabelle Demers.

  • Building Update:
    • The building and parking garages have been open since Jan 31 after the engineers, facilities, and health and safety personnel worked to assess the damage and ensured that the building and garages were safe following a parapet wall failure on Jan 11.
    • Both the east and west entrance doors will be open for this and other upcoming events.
    • Accessibility Drop-off moved to West Side: The drop-off road from Church Street at Lily Plaza WILL BE CLOSED during this event. To drop off a guest at an accessible, no-elevation entrance, please use the west entrance. Vehicles can drop off at 73 Pleasant St SE before parking.
    • You may see signs of construction adjacent to the exterior building, but this will not impact your visit.
    • The theater stage was not impacted by the parapet wall failure—the performance will not be altered in any way.
    • You may see some aesthetic differences inside the building—notably on the third floor. Some stairwells and other areas will be roped off with signage guiding you to alternate routes.
    • Seating in the Gallery level has been closed for this performance date to accommodate construction and egress codes.
