The Somali Student Association (SSA) proudly presents Somali Night 2026: Echoes From the Past (“Dhawaaqii Wagii Hore”) celebrating 28 years of community, culture and excellence at the University of Minnesota Twin Cities. As the grand finale of our annual Somali Culture Week, this highly anticipated event brings together students, families and the broader Twin Cities community to experience the richness and vibrancy of Somali heritage.
Somali Night is a dynamic cultural showcase highlighting the incredible talent within the Somali diaspora. The evening will feature a variety of performances including live music, traditional dance, poetry, acting and fashion, each telling a unique story of identity, resilience and creativity.
This year’s show will include special guest performances by Nuur Caraale and Ismail Dannan, with additional appearances including the SSA Somali Dance Team and more! Join the SSA for an unforgettable night celebrating culture, artistry and community.
