Finals week may feel like a high-stakes performance, but we're here to cheer you on through the homestretch of the school year! Recharge with Study-In at Northrop 2026. Fuel your focus with free coffee, snacks and Pizza Lucé (while it lasts!), then take a well-deserved break to “unwind your mind.” Unplug at our craft corner, relax with a professional massage from a RecWell therapist or find your flow at a contemporary dance class with UMN alum Annika Johansson. Enjoy an energizing scavenger hunt through all corners of Northrop for a prize and challenge your friends to outdoor games. Strike a pose in our photo booth and tune in to a free screening of the Academy Award-winning movie “Parasite.” Whatever your study style, Northrop has just the thing to help you finish the year strong. See you at Study-In!
*Tables will be set up all around Northrop for studying ahead of finals week.
All locations are ADA accessible and have access to power outlets. Additionally, computers and other mobile devices can be connected to the monitors in the Study Lounges.

Recwell Chair Massage: Noon-4 p.m., Level 2, West Side
Take a relaxing study break by getting a 10-minute chair massage from a RecWell massage therapist. Sign up for a massage, which will be available on the Level 2 West Side of Northrop from noon-4 p.m. Sign up is first come, first served. This event is eligible for the Study-In Scavenger Hunt.
Beginning Contemporary Dance With Annika Johansson: 1:15-2:30 p.m., Hubbard Broadcasting Rehearsal Studio.
Join UMN Dance Program alum Annika Johansson for this 75-minute movement workshop. All levels and all abilities are welcome. This class will move participants through contemporary dance movement, activating stretch, flow and personal expression with a mix of guided prompts and choreography. Participants should wear comfortable, flexible clothing that allows for movement. The class will take place from 1:15-2:30 p.m. in the Hubbard Broadcasting Rehearsal Studio. The class has a capacity of 35 people and will be first come, first served. Participants will meet by 1:10 p.m. at the East Box Office on the ground level and then be taken backstage to the rehearsal studio. This event is eligible for the Study-In Scavenger Hunt.
Pizza Lucé: 12:30 p.m., Level 1 East Concession Stand. One slice per person. Vegan and gluten-free options available.
“Parasite” Film Screening: 2:45 p.m., Level 4, Best Buy Theater
“Parasite,” directed by Bong Joon Ho, is a critically acclaimed Korean dark comedy/thriller exploring class structure and social inequality. The film received numerous awards including the Academy Awards for Best Picture and Best Director.
