“A Minnesota Nutcracker”

By popular demand, Twin Cities Ballet’s (TCB) acclaimed “A Minnesota Nutcracker” returns to Northrop! Experience the beloved holiday classic with a Minnesota twist. TCB’s “A Minnesota Nutcracker” maintains the essential traditions, story and music beloved by so many — but adds Minnesota flair, brought to life by the powerful athleticism and artistry of Twin Cities Ballet dancers.

Clara encounters iconic Minnesota characters and locations on her magical journey: the state Capitol’s golden horses, falling waters, tiny bluegill fish frolicking by a Mississippi River paddleboat, Vikings and Minnesota’s state bird and flower, the loon and lady’s slipper.

Deemed “one of the 12 essential holiday events” by Minnesota Public Radio, “A Minnesota Nutcracker” is delightful entertainment for the whole family!

Relaxed Performance on Dec. 19 at 6 p.m.: During a relaxed performance, house lights will remain at a glow, sound levels will be lowered, and the audience will be warned of any surprises. Attendees can come and go as needed, assisted by ushers trained to accommodate movement and sound. The relaxed performance is “Pick Your Price.”

Discounts: Tickets are 20% off for children ages 17 and under; 10% off for military/veterans; and 10% off for University of Minnesota students at time of purchase. (Additional discounts do not apply to the Relaxed, Pick Your Price performance.)
