Meenal is a first-year graduate student in chemical engineering. Art is her favorite pastime and she is inspired by nature.

2nd Place Winner: Kathryn Blommel

Kathryn Blommel is from Saint Cloud, Minnesota. She creates art that portrays societal standards and their effects on women. Kathryn has hopes of pursuing a career in the arts, as an educator for future generations.

Callie Korth is a second-year student studying marketing and strategic communications. She is from Madison, Wisconsin and would love to become a creative director for an advertising agency later in life!

The Sun Will Rise Again

 

Elena Grove is a sophomore from Pequot Lakes, Minnesota studying Elementary Education, and has been doing various forms of art since she was a child. Through her art she aims to express emotions and experiences and raise awareness for issues such as mental health.

5th Place Winner: Andrew Kind

Watchful

 

Andrew Kind is a first-year student from Blaine, Minnesota. He is a conservation photographer who focuses on the struggles at the intersection of civilization and nature, and is inspired by the work of photographers such as Paul Nicklen and Anand Varma.

6th Place Winner: Emma Lassen

Field of Peace

 

Emma Lassen is a first-year nursing student from Cottage Grove, MN. She is inspired by the beauty of nature and loves being able to channel her creativity to capture that beauty through art.

Wild American Plums

 

Taylor Lee is a fourth-year student studying Plant Science with an emphasis in horticultural production. She enjoys writing poetry, photography, playing with her dogs and taking care of her house plants. She one day hopes to live on a farm and read all day.
