2020-21 NORTHROP SEASON TO BE ANNOUNCED TUE, AUG 4

July 15, 2020

Welcome to this week’s Northrop MOVES Online. Last week, I wrote about the importance of hope in trying times and how the ability to make decisions and influence outcomes helps us see a positive future. I’m thrilled that this week’s hopeful message is that we are announcing our 2020-21 Northrop season on Tue, Aug 4 at 7:00 pm.

We all have had to deal with a cascade of changes and adaptations over the past four months due to COVID-19. None more than Director of Programming Kristen Brogdon, who was mere weeks away from announcing the first season of performances that she curated for Northrop, when COVID-19 changed the world. Over these months, Kristen has worked with companies, artists, agents, technicians, partners, and the Northrop staff to creatively reshape those plans into a unique and vibrant 2020-21 season that is full of exciting newcomer artists, Northrop favorites, performance premieres, and unique partnerships.

Please save the date to join us online on Tue, Aug 4, at 7:00 pm to hear from me, Kristen, and other guests about the details of the events including the dates and ways you can access the programming. We will share some new, innovative ways we are offering many of these events both digitally and in person; the steps we are taking to ensure your safety at Northrop live events when you feel ready to return; ways we are supporting artists and our community through commissioning and engagement activities; ticket and subscription details; and other highlights. The presentation is expected to last about 60 minutes, including a 30-minute live Q&A session with Kristen and some of the artists who are an integral part of next season’s events. We invite you to ask questions of the artists at this time and interact personally with them. The program will be captioned and recorded.

I have been continuously amazed by the creative ways that artists are sharing their work digitally during this unusual time. I hope you are following Northrop’s Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram social media channels for Daily Inspiration posts to keep you inspired and connected!

I am full of hope and anticipation for the day when we can welcome you back in person. In the meantime, please plan to join us for our joyous Northrop 2020-21 Season announcement on Tue, Aug 4.

Gratefully, Kari Schloner, Director of Northrop
