This choreographed culinary experience surrounds and enhances your Complexions Contemporary Ballet performance with a jazzy and fun pre-show party with artistic leaders from the company and a post-show dessert plus celebratory toast with company artists. The Encore Gala provides an exclusive chance to gain insights into the performance, meet the dancers for a direct-from-the-stage perspective and sway to the rhythm of the night while indulging in delectable bites.
Encore Gala tickets go on sale July 14, 2026, at the same time as all 2026-27 Northrop Season single tickets. Your support of the Encore Gala not only provides you with a one-of-a-kind evening, but also helps provide funding for the creation of new artistic works by preeminent artists through the Northrop Centennial Commissions project.

Pre-Show Soirée
5:30 p.m. in Memorial Hall
Join us before the performance for a jazzy soirée with the artistic directors of Complexions Contemporary Ballet. This interactive journey of New Orleans-inspired flavors includes a savory spread of Crescent City fare, a jazz-themed bar featuring an en pointe signature cocktail and mocktail, insight into the performance by company artistic leaders and live music — all while raising funds to uplift artists.
Performance
7:30 p.m. on the Carlson Family Stage
Enjoy a kinetic homage to the iconic women of jazz by one of the most diverse and respected dance companies worldwide, Complexions Contemporary Ballet (performance tickets sold separately).
After-Party
9:30 p.m. in Memorial Hall
Keep the good times rolling after the performance at an exclusive reception where you can mingle with the dancers! Indulge in scrumptious treats and raise a sparkling toast to cap off a beautiful night of memories you’ll cherish for a lifetime.

Mingle with members of Complexions Contemporary Ballet and fellow arts lovers and at our Encore Gala fundraiser! This special event enhances your experience of Complexions with a jazzy pre-show party and a post-show dessert plus celebratory toast with the artists.
- Subscribers who purchase Complexions Contemporary Ballet performance tickets from May 19-July 13, 2026, can purchase Encore tickets starting July 14, 2026. (Be sure to purchase tickets for Saturday to enhance your Encore Gala.)
- Subscribers can add Complexions Contemporary Ballet performance tickets to their subscription at 20% off at any time up to Saturday, March 20.
- Your Encore Gala With Complexions Contemporary Ballet reservation includes pre- and post-show festivities, as well as a donation to the Northrop Centennial Commissions project.
Cost: $160, including a $55 donation.
